The Annual Miami Kiteboarding Masters contest was first created by MKB in 2004 as a Women-only Competition , named then the KITE FOR GIRLS . With the success of the first 2 years the K4G became an Open event to all Categories : including Men, Junior ( -18 year) Senior ( + 50 ) Kiteboarding and extended over en entire weekend.
This is the longest recurring event in Florida. In 2017, The Miami Masters will celebrate its 14th anniversary and is recognized as largest kiteboarding competition in Florida. It gathers each year the majority of the Florida kiting community but also competitors from the caribbean, South America, Europe.
The signature event features freestyle and slalom, fun contests, raffles, BBQs and lots of fun for people of all ages.
MKB Master Kiteboarding Series
The MKB Master Kiteboarding Series is a quarterly event created by MKB for amateur kiteboarding members who enjoy competition, but are not yet ready for the Masters Contest described above. This event was created in 2015 in an effort to encourage amateur kite boarders to test their skills and prepare them for the Annual Masters Contest.
This event features freestyle, slalom, fun contests, raffles, BBQ and lots of fun for people of all ages.
In addition to kiteboarding in a safe, controlled and fun environment with a little competitive edge, kiteboarders are given the opportunity to meet fellow members, test his/her abilities and push his/her limits in the best possible atmosphere. The goal is to help members be more comfortable competing and to prepare them for the annual Masters tournament.
